None of us need to be told the church is changing.
We are faced with the task of being a church with dwindling members and hectic family schedules.
What has worked before that is not working now.
Together we will look at the needs and how we arrived at this point, define intergenerational ministry, as well as, model intergenerational ministry through teaching sessions.

Renda Brinson, Retreat Leader
Renda Brinson is a Certified Christian Educator who has served in the Presbytery of Charlotte for over 20 years.
She currently serves as the Director of Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church in Monroe, NC and in a joint position as the Director of Christian Education Resource Center/Union Presbyterian Seminary/Presbytery of Charlotte.
She is a member of POINT - Presbyterians Organized in Nurture and Teaching. She has served on numerous committees in our Presbytery, currently serving on the Ministry Resource Committee.
Renda lives in Matthews, NC with her husband, Earl, and their rescue dog, Daisy. They have four adult sons and six grandchildren.
Neal Carter, Reflection and Music Leader
Dr. Neal Carter is the Senior Pastor at Rocky River Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, NC in Cabarrus County. Prior to his return to the area, he served three churches in North Carolina: in Beulaville, Mocksville, and Laurinburg.
He is a graduate of the Duke Divinity School and Princeton Theological Seminary.
Neal and his wife Deb have one adult daughter. They enjoy travel and music. Neal enjoys riding his mountain bike and playing guitar in local gigs and at church.

Welcome to St. Francis Springs Prayer Center. We are an inter-faith prayer and retreat center located in Stoneville, NC which is approx. 30 miles north of Greensboro, NC. The Prayer Center is a 25,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility situated on 140 acres of beautiful and peaceful wooded property that offers a natural setting for prayer, reflection and meditation.

Retreat costs: Early Registration (extended to September 27th) $200 for two nights in a double room $260 for two nights in a single room
Please indicate whether you prefer a hotel room or a room in the cottage when you register. Single cottage rooms are limited and will be assigned according to the arrival of your registration.
